Five of Marcus’ books are New York Times bestsellers, seven are national bestsellers, three have been optioned for movies, one has been made into a movie, and one is an international bestseller.

Notable projects include books with Oscar-nominated actor Gary Sinise, quadruple amputee Travis Mills, the elite paratroopers featured in HBO’s Band of Brothers miniseries, the elite Marines featured in HBO’s The Pacific, Medal of Honor recipient Gary Beikirch, historian Adam Makos, Civil Rights activist Martha Hawkins, In-N-Out Burger president Lynsi Snyder, theologian Louie Giglio, Super Bowl winner and deaf athlete Derrick Coleman Jr., and Lt. Buck Compton, who prosecuted Sirhan Sirhan for the murder of Bobby Kennedy.

Among Marcus’ commendations is the Christopher award for “literature that affirms the highest values of the human spirit.”

Born in 1968 in British Columbia, Marcus earned a bachelor’s degree from Multnomah University in Portland, Oregon, and a master’s degree from Biola University in Los Angeles, where he graduated with high honors. He lives with his wife and three children in the Pacific Northwest.
